Goals

To train communications staff on how to effectively leverage social media and thereby improve DuPont’s ability to foster collaboration among key stakeholders to address some of the world’s most pressing challenges; and to build skills necessary to successfully respond to a social media component of a crisis and contribute to the daily proactive social media program.

Discovery

[On Location] DuPont Corporate Headquarters – Wilmington, Delaware, US

Through the Discovery Phase, we were able strategically map out a proper training route necessary to achieve DuPont’s goals. We mutually decided on the amount of time, levels of certification and number of quiz questions needed for the learner to gain a proper understanding and ability to accurately represent DuPont in the Social Sphere. In addition, we developed a theme to make the courses consistent and branded to DuPont’s style and values.

The most critical aspect of the project, the Discovery phase allows us to truly understand what our clients need, thus create a tailor made solution for themKevin Dean - COO SayItSocial

Strategy and Concept

The courses were designed to build skills and general understanding of all social platforms across all regions and cultures, through engaging, interactive courses using a mix of multimedia.

The overall structure was composed of:
• 3 three tiers of required certification training
• Tiers were 8, 12 and 10 hours respectively
• Encompassed multiple eLearning courses within each tier (each no longer than 1 hour)
• Each course consisted of an interactive, engaging and fun learning environment
• Each course had 15 required quiz questions

Development

[Course Creation] During the duration of the project, SayItSocial graphic design team, voice-over artists, script writers, course creators and editors collaborated in order to bring together all of the separate elements that complete each course.

Validation and Implementation

The courses were designed in a SCORM 1.2 format deployed using the DuPont Learning Management System. Regulatory requirements were created based around the quiz questions, designed to help ensure that all users were learning the course material and had a good chance of passing the courses. A certificate was designed to show certification after each set of courses was successfully completed.
