2013: The HashTag Review
If ancient Chinese culture referenced its yearly cycles based on a diverse cluster of animals, our post-modern mobile society now has the right to do similar, however using keyboard characters rather than mythical creatures. 2013 saw the ‘Hashtag’ phenomenon take on a whole new place in society of which everyone, from baby boomers to Justin Timberlake & Jimmy Fallon, speak, write and reference on a quotidian basis.

Today will look vastly different to 10 years from now, which will look vastly different to 10 years from then. And so as this year comes to a close, it is evident we are living in a very exciting period which is now fueled by the Internet across all devices bringing people closer together.
